••About Kalayani•• Kalyani Musicals, was formed in the year 1959 since then we have been providing services and sales of instruments in the city of Coimbatore. This shop was founded by Late Mr.C.R. Subramaniyam who was a man with a vision to promote and help the various musicians in the city with their requirements and needs.This Musical Instrument Gallery was initially located near the Devanga High school, which is on the road to the famous Baba Complex Theaters in the city. Kalyani Musicals started with the motivation of servicing all the instruments and manufacturing of harmoniums.Mr.C.R. Subramaniyam was a very famous Harmonium player.He started performing at the age of 14 in dramas and stage performances. The well known musical Maestro Isaighani Ilayaraja is a best friend of C.R. Subramaniyam and even before Ilayaraja entered the Film Industry.He used to visit Kalyani Musicals quiet often to meet his friend. After the great work of Mr.C.R. Subramaniyam, his son Mr.S.Muthu kumar took over the responsibility of Kalyani Musicals and looked at improvising the service offerings to the musicians in the city of Coimbatore. Mr.S.Muthu kumar finished his B.com Degree and since then started implementing his ideas towards his shop from the year 1990 onwards. The fruit of his hard work has yielded him a new show room on the Mettupalayam main road, opposite Sanmuga Theatre and this first ever grand musical center was opened on July 10th2011. The all new Kalyani Musicals which is now over 2000 Sq Ft in Size, a 2 story building and now offers to you all instruments under one roof both Western, Indian(Carnatic) and classical instruments are available.The shop is designed in a user friendly manner where each instrument is categorized into separate sections for display.Kalyani Musicals not only deals with Sales but also renders service on instruments at a very reasonable price and the best quality.All accessories of each instrument are also available in here in our store.This store also has instruments of all the leading brands such asYamaha, Roland, Korg, Hofner, Ashton, Samick, Ibanez, ESP, Zilzdean, Sabian, Mapex, Greg Bennet, Gibson, der, Pluto, Granada among the others

Marudamalai is a popular temple of the Hindu god Murugan, situated top a hill of the same name in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu, India,Marudamalai temple was managed by kongu vettuva gounder kings in early periods, Tamil Nadu, India. Of all the temples of Murugan it is next only in importance to the Arupadaiveedu temples ("The six Fort-Houses of Muruga"), for the god's devotees. Some people consider Marudhamalai to be the unofficial seventh Padaiveedu of Muruga, along with a few other contenders for the spot, including Kunrakudy, Sikkal and Vayalur.Like most Murugan temples, Marudhamalai Murugan temple is situated upon a hill that is a part of the Western Ghats and is about 15 km west from the city of Coimbatore.This is an ancient temple. References to this temple are found in inscriptions in the Thirumuruganpoondi temple. Thirumuruganpoondi temple is a "Tevarapaadalpetrastalam" and is at least 1200 years old. So we can surmise that the Marudhamalai temple is older than 1200 years.There is a shrine called the "Paambaatti Sitthar Kugai" (Paambaatti Sitthar cave) that is in proximity to the Murugan temple. Legend has it that a Sitthar referred to as the Paambaatti Sitthar lived here in Marudhamalai. Paambaatti Sitthar is one of the most notable 18 Sitthars. Pambaatti Sitthar as his name indicates that he was associated with snake charming. As is the custom of the Sitthars of Tamil Nadu, he too, in the interest of mankind, has written extensively on the medicinal values and applications of plants.
